Gearless Track-Friendly Metro with Guided Independently Rotating Wheels

چکیده
Abstract Track–vehicle severe interaction on track with small curve radius results in rail wear and corrugation, wheel polygonization, which drain considerable resources for grinding wheels re-profiling metro lines. To reduce the damage caused by track-vehicle interaction, paper analyzes reasons leading to then proposes an architecture of a vehicle independently rotating driven directly permanent magnet synchronous motors. The is axle guidance, offered passive linkages, ensures that all axles are oriented radially, while control strategy was kept as simple possible, identifying only two basic traction conditions. concept first discussed validated through comprehensive set running dynamics simulation performed multibody software evaluate rolling contact fatigue traction/braking, coasting different cant deficiency/excess shows proposed virtually capable avoiding both damages, achieves highest possible friendliness. track-fiendly could be good reference reducing rail-track damages maintainace cost.

متن کاملCombined active steering and traction for mechatronic bogie vehicles with independently rotating wheels
The benefits of substituting the conventional solid wheelset by independently rotating wheels (IRW) in actively steered trailed railway vehicles have already been presented in many works. If a traction system is included in this kind of vehicle it will interact strongly with the active steering system. This paper investigates how traction and active steering systems can be combined in an IRW bo...
متن کاملAckerman Steering Chassis with Independently Driven Back Wheels
When building the robot for outdoor competition the designer can choose from a variety of chassis. The differential drive and Ackerman steering drive are among the most popular. The paper describes our experiences with the custom built chassis that uses Ackerman steering principle together with independently driven back wheels. The chassis represent the base of Bender II mobile robot, used in R...

متن کاملFailsafe Control Methods for EVs with the Failsafe Structure Driven by Front and Rear Wheels Independently
This paper describes failsafe control methods for electric vehicles (EVs) with the failsafe structure in which front and rear wheels are driven independently. Based on failure-diagnosis results, the failsafe control is done by dividing fault states into two types, i.e. a slight failure such as a current or a speed sensor failure and a serious failure such as an inverter or a motor failure. For ...
